This is the continuation of my pregnancy blog. Now that David is here, I've made a blog for him to show pictures, tell stories, and keep track of all the new experiences Shaun, David, and I will be going through!

David's Half-Birthday!

David is six months old today! Time flies! I can't even believe it has been six months since I had him, it seems like yesterday.

MILESTONES

By Six Months, your baby

...should be able to:

-Keep head level with body when pulled to sitting (has been doing that since 5 and a half months)

-says "Ah-Goo" and similar vowel-consonant combinations (yup and says dada since 5 months, mama three days ago, and boo-boo three days ago)

...will probably be able to:

-bear some weight on his legs (David's been doing this since he was 3 months old. All he wants to do is stand! Thank the goddess for his bouncer!)

-sit without support (only for a minute, hasn't quite mastered this yet)

-turn in the direction of a voice (I swear his head can turn 360 degrees! If I am behind him and say "David" he will turn that head all the way around!)

-razz (He's been doing this since he was 5 months. It can get a bit messy!)

...may possibly be able to:

-stand holding on to something or someone (yep, he started this about 2 weeks ago. I will stand him up in his crib and he will hold on to me and stand)

-object if you take a toy away (no, thank goodness)

-work to get a toy that is out of reach (Yes, it is so cute. He does this with remotes the most, which is odd)

-passes a cube or other object from one hand to the other (Yes, started doing this a week or two ago. Doesn't do it often)

-look for dropped object (Only with the toys he really likes, like rattles.)

-rake with fingers a tony object and pick in up in fist (Yes he started this 3 weeks ago. At first I just thought he was being weird and scratching at everything!)

-babble, combining vowels and consonants such as ga-ga-ga, ba-ba-ba, ma-ma-ma (he has been saying da-da for about 3 weeks to a month, just started ma-ma and boo-boo three days ago)

-feed self a cracker or other food (Whoops. Haven't tried!)

...may even be able to:

-creep or crawl (he actually can move a couple steps. After he does it a bit he like passes out! It must take a lot of energy!)

-pull up to a standing position from sitting (Nope!)

-get into a sitting position from his stomach (Nope!)

-pick up a tiny object with any part of thumb and finger (Nope!)

-say "mama" and "dada" indiscriminately (Well, he never says "dada" looking at me and the time he said "mama" he was looking right at me. But, who knows?)

David puts everything in his mouth. His favorite being shirts and his toes!

I luff him so!
