This is the continuation of my pregnancy blog. Now that David is here, I've made a blog for him to show pictures, tell stories, and keep track of all the new experiences Shaun, David, and I will be going through!

Quick Update

May 9th David took his first step all by himself (stood up by himself and took a step). Then, on May 12th, I picked him up and he walked 7 steps to try and get my friend Dave's glasses. I clamped my hands against my mouth because when David does something new I like to overreact my excitement...which basically just comes out as a high pitched scream. This scares David and he usually doesn't attempt to do it again for months. This happened when David was 1 1/2 months old and rolled over for the first time. He didn't do it again until he was 3 months old.

So, yeah, just wanted to let you all know that he is learning how to walk now and I am so excited! YAY!

First Temper Tantrum

David had his first REAL temper tantrum yesterday. Since we was about 6 months I have been trying to get him to drink from a sippy. I don't know why, but he HATES them and refuses. Well, he is a very now, so I put my foot down to wean him slowly from the bottle. Two days ago I replaced one of his bottles with a sippy. Yesterday he took the first sippy fine, but I replaced yes another feeding with the sippy. I brought it to him (with this yogurt banana juice) and he saw it and quickly crawled away, whining. I said "David, you need to drink this. It has yummy juice!" Well, he threw himself backwards so he was laying down, started crying and screaming, and was kicking his arms and flailing his arms. Now, sometimes he cries when he doesn't get his way, but I have never seen anything like this. I was just laughing and saying "David are you having a temper tantrum?" I know I should have probably not been laughing at him, but I couldn't help it! Well, my laughing sort of had him laughing in between his cries. Well, he screaming really loud and while his mouth was open, I stuck the sippy in there. He tasted the juice and instantly stopped crying and that was that!

David's First Christmas!!!!

Puffy lil' coat!

Emailing Santa what he wants for X-mas (Yeah David's so hardcore)

He doesn't like it when I disturb his internet activities...

He is so excited about Christmas coming up!

His first present ever! Present from Granny and Grandpa Bricker!

Must more interested in the sound the wrapping paper makes when scratched.

Fast asleep after Granny and Grandpa Bricker's presents. Ahh i like to fall asleep while reading, too.

Christmas Eve, unwrapping present from mommy.

Not even caring about the expensive present from Daddy. I bet you he sees wrapping paper.

Deep in thought about his new blocks.

Loving these blocks, score one point for mom on the presents!!!

The Christmas Elf has come to wish you all a happy day!

"Yes, it is true. Christmas Elves do live purely off of wrapping paper and smiles. So, if you are done with this, may I please have just a morsel?"

Yes, L-Tryptophan even effects Christmas Elves...
